4: Torakia no Douran - Disturbance in Thracia
These are the
trading cards from the fourth released series,
トラキアの動乱 [Thorakia no Doorun]. The title is broken down into
3 kanji, the hiragana
の 'no' which is usually used to connect the kanji around it in a
possessive fashion (commonly 'of', but in this case 'in' works better), and
katakana. The katakana トラキア thorakia,
which is the name of the Kingdom of Thracia. The kanji 動 [dou] can be read as
movement, action or to happen, and the kanji 乱 [ran] can be read as
confusion, revolt, or a state of chaos. The two when read together become
douran, which is disturbance. Therefore when you put the kanji
together with the kana,
they become Disturbance in Thracia. These cards are
all from the fifth game, Thracia 776. All of the cards are shown on
this page, along with scans of the box and inserts for this series. This
